  Nearly 250 chefs enjoyed a Gala Dinner at the Glasgow Hilton for the 7th Annual Scottish Chef Awards.

 
     
Jeff Bland Named
Scottish Chef of the Year
 
Jeff Bland of The Balmoral in Edinburgh took the premier prize of the evening - the Scottish Chef of the Year. In the year when he became the first chef in Scotland to win a Michelin star at two separate restaurants - the first was for Cameron House - he beat off a host of  star names to the coveted trophy. Tony Singh Clinches
A Capital Double
 
Tony Singh of Oloroso in Edinburgh completed an amazing double when he was named Scottish Restaurant Chef of the Year, following on from winning the New  Restaurant category in 2002. Inaugural Fellowships
 
Three top chefs were honoured with the first-ever Scottish Chef Award Fellowships for lifetime contribution. Stewart Cameron (right), former head chef at the Turnberry Hotel was joined by Bill McNicoll of Kinloch House Hotel in Blairgowrie in Perthshire and Clive Davidson of the Champany Inn in Linlithgow. 
     
Sukie Is Named Top Rural Chef 
 
Sukie Barber of the Old Pines at Spean Bridge was named the Scottish Rural Chef of the Year. Sponsored by Craneford Wines.
 
     
 
Maggie Wins Our Newest Award
 
Maggie Clarence of Cafe Gandolfi in Glasgow won the Casual Dining Award, the newest award. Sponsor McLays Quality Foods. David Anderson of Off The Wall in Edinburgh won the Scottish City Chef of the Year Award. Sponsored by Clarks Speciality Foods.

 

     
Dundee Hotel Celebrates
Victory Double
 
Chefs from The Apex Hotel in Dundee took home the city's first-ever awards. First up was head chef Bruce Price to win the Function Menu Award. He was followed Barry Fleming who was named Scottish Young Chef of the Year (aged 22-25). Steve Aikman of the Glasgow Hilton was the Young Chef (under 22) category.      Sponsored by The Cookery School
     
 
Wine Dinner Chef Bill Wins
'By A Nose'
Bill McGuigan of The Bank in Crieff won the Wine Dinner Award for his series of wine dinners. Sponsored by The Cookery School.
Alistair Clark of Clarks Speciality Foods won the Supplier Award.
